Saturday night more than $20,000 worth of items were stolen from the church, including a hi-tech Television camera, two VCR's, several chairs, candles from the alter and other items.
Among other things, investigators and church officials call the burglary strange because of the random items that were stolen.
"Well, we kind of feel violated. Plus, it's the church and this is the kind of thing that you would think would happen at other places, not the church," Pastor Jerry Beam, First United Methodist Church.
Anyone with information on the burglary is asked to call the Philadelphia Police Department at 656-2131.
