Once in office, sheriff-elect Larry Myers says there are many things that he hopes to do.

"I want to bring professionalism to the sheriff's department. I want to increase our training programs for our deputies. Keep them abreast of all the new laws and crack down on all of the drug problems, continue to put pressure on the drug dealers in our county."

Myers will replace longtime Sheriff Glen Wadell who did not seek re-election. The swearing in will be Tuesday, December 30 at 9 a.m. in Neshoba County Justice Court.
