Greenetrack, the greyhound racing track in Eutaw, Ala., has added high-stakes bingo to its offerings. The track simulcasts dog and horse races.
In November, Greene County voters approved the state constitutional amendment which limits payouts to $10,000 per bingo session.
Sheriff Johnny Isaac says there's no limit to the sessions, which can be up to 24 hours. The bingo sessions will almost certainly last less than 24 hours, allowing for higher payouts per day. Greenetrack offers paper, electronic and video bingo.
In its advertisements, Greenetrack said the video bingo machine jackpot is "unlimited.''
The sheriff said several nonprofit organizations will be involved in receiving the license to operate bingo at Greenetrack.
