An investigation is underway into a traffic wreck Monday night that claimed the life of a college student.

The crash happened on Highway 45 in Scooba around 9 p.m.

The people involved were all students at East Mississippi Community College in Scooba. EMCC identified the female who died as Davishe Walker, a freshman from West Point, Miss.

Three people who were transported to Anderson Hospital in Meridian were listed in stable condition Tuesday afternoon.

The Kemper County Sheriff's Department is assisting the Mississippi Highway Patrol in the investigation.
