Three deputy directors have been named to the Mississippi Development Authority's executive team.
Area Development Partnership president Gray Swoope was named deputy director and chief operating officer; former Skytel chief financial officer Terri P. Hudson was named deputy director and CFO; and Bill Crawford, former president of the Montgomery Institute in Meridian, was named deputy director.
MDA executive director Leland Speed and Gov. Haley Barbour announced the appointments on Monday. The three will assist with MDA's operations and oversight.
Swoope will take the new position on March 8. He has served as president of the Hattiesburg-area economic development group since February of 1997 and has helped bring several companies to the state, including Western Container, Dickten And Masch M.S. Incorporated and Owens-Illinois Incorporated.
