A 24-year-old Tuscaloosa man is charged with second-degree assault in connection with a weekend stabbing incident that occurred outside a bar near the University of Alabama campus.
Lt. Loyd Baker, Tuscaloosa County sheriff's department chief homicide investigator, said Henry Rene Saldana is being held in the county jail on $25,000 bond.
Baker said Saldana and a male companion got into an argument early Friday with two other men that turned violent.
A 20-year-old Tuscaloosa man and a 23-year-old Hoover man were stabbed during the fracas. Their names were withheld and police said their injuries were not life threatening. It’s unclear what started the argument.
