Federal prosecutors say Mississippi Supreme Court justice Oliver Diaz, Jr. will face additional charges of attempted bribery and extortion to the charges already against him.
An amended indictment was filed in United States District Court on Friday.
The new charges are expected to postpone the March first trial of Diaz Jr. and Gulf Coast lawyer Paul Minor.
Last July, Diaz, Jr., Minor and several others where indicted on charges of fraud and bribery.
