Wal-Mart presented teacher reward cards to 10 teachers Monday at Crestwood Elementary School.
The company does this each year, to help teachers have additional classroom supplies.
Ten teachers received the $100 gift cards in a random drawing.
"A lot of our students at Crestwood are not able to get the supplies that they need at the beginning of the year or even throughout the year. So this will help us as teachers be able to supply this for them. And make sure that they have everything that they need when they come into the room and they're ready to work," said 2nd grade teacher Karen Fleming.
Nationally, Wal-Mart and Sam's Club extend this gift to 40,000 teachers.
Each of the teachers will also be eligible for 'Teacher of the Year' honors for this area and could win a $1,000 prize.
