Once again, there's a gloom and doom warning from Amtrak.
The railroad's president says passenger railroad will have to shut down, if it only gets the $900 million President Bush proposes.
That's about half of what Amtrak wants.
Amtrak president David Gunn calls the White House figure "a shut down number,'' and he says the timing is bad.
Gunn said Amtrak is expected to set a ridership record of 25 million people in its current budget year.
