Relatives of a slain Yazoo County family Tuesday thanked those who supported them during the search for Michael, Rebecca and four-year-old James Patrick Hargon.
Family and friends learned Monday that the three had been killed and that Michael's cousin, Earnest Lee Hargon, was charged with capital murder.
Relatives had held out hope that they would be found alive.
Michael's mother, Diane Hargon, said the family was hurting. As for Earnest Lee Hargon, she said "He may have the name of Hargon, but no Hargon blood runs through his veins.''
Authorities say they believe Earnest Lee Hargon, a 43-year-old cattle truck driver, acted alone in killing the family.
Yazoo County District Attorney James Powell said he would seek the death penalty.
Powell said he hoped to learn the exact causes of death by Wednesday, depending on when reports from the autopsies were completed.
Highway Patrol spokesman Warren Strain said the investigation is winding down, and the Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics' involvement is complete.
