The Ross Collins Career Center opened its doors to the public Wednesday to showcase what it is doing to prepare high school students for the workplace.
Local businesses were invited to tour the facility.
"We are trying to get as many industry people in to visit the center, because we want to put out a quality workforce," said Betty Smith of Ross Collins. "Because that's what the industries are asking for."
All of the refreshments at the open house were prepared and arranged by the students. It's just one of many skills taught at the Career Center.
