Democrats: "Riley Should Be Accountable, Too."

By  |

After the Alabama legislature rejected Gov. Riley's proposal for a special session dealing with accountability earlier this week, democrats are now criticizing Alabama Gov. Bob Riley, saying his proposals will limit legislative spending power but not limit his own spending power.

The House Budget Committee urged the governor to propose a new plan, reminding him that accountability works both ways.

A spokesman for Riley says more accountability proposals will be presented in the next two years of his term.
