A Tuscaloosa couple that lost both of their children in car wrecks within a mile of each other wants changes to the roadway where the accidents occurred.
Darlene and Jack Franklin say they've seen enough memorials placed along a curvy stretch of Alabama Highway 216.
One of those memorials was for their son Brad, 20, who died about a year and a half ago.
Last week, their daughter, Brooke, 17, died in a car crash just a mile down the road.
The Franklins are contacting state lawmakers to see if anything can be done to make the highway less dangerous, including straightening out the area of the road where their children died.
