The Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics said Friday that it had an error in information released to the media Oct. 19.
One of the people it had listed as being arrested was Joshua Henley, 19, of Philadelphia.
MBN now says Henley was not arrested by the Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics. Instead, Henley was detained by the Mississippi Department of Corrections for probation violation.
Other than that change, the original story appears below.
The Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics says it has charged a father and son and three others in the Stallo community of Noxapater in Winston County, ending a months-long drug investigation.
MBN director Marshall Fisher said in a news release that a search warrant was served by MBN agents, and Neshoba County and Winston County deputies, which led to the arrest of John Barry Hatcher, 54, of Noxapater on a manufacture of methamphetamine charge.
Officers also arrested Hatcher’s son, Samuel Dubard Hatcher, 18, of Noxapater on a conspiracy to manufacture methamphetamine charge.
Others charged with conspiracy to manufacture methamphetamine include the elder Hatcher’s girlfriend, Kristie Flowers, 35, of Noxapater; and Charlie Dempsey, 38, of Ackerman.
Agents say they seized a methamphetamine lab as well as nine firearms from John Hatcher, who, as a convicted felon, is prohibited from owning a firearm.
