The Mississippi State University Faculty Senate has approved a resolution giving staff the right to criticize university administration.
The vote came on Friday and follows the suspension of two University of Southern Mississippi professors who were fired by USM president Shelby Thomas for allegedly critiquing his administration.
The state College Board has been asked to step in and not allow tenured faculty to be fired for being critical of administration.
