Calvary Baptist Church voted unanimously to approve expansion of its school to the 12th grade.
Calvary made the decision after Church of the Way announced this summer it would close its Christian School, King's Academy.
Calvary has operated a school since the early 1960s and planned at some point to include a high school.
Pastor Bob Followell says pre-enrollment indicates the high school addition is needed.
