A student pilot at Naval Air Station Meridian crashed a T-45C Goshawk on landing Tuesday at 6:15 p.m. at the base.
The pilot, a member of Training Squadron 9, was taken to the hospital as a precaution, but was not seriously injured. His name was not released.
The Navy said the pilot was close to completing his advanced training syllabus and was on a solo flight.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
