Making Early Career Choices

As part of its annual career fair Friday, students at Crestwood Elementary in Meridian learned about a number of different occupations.

Organizers say this is an important part of a student's education.

"It makes their education seem real to them. In that, they have a purpose for doing their work, for doing their math. For learning to read and they see real people as examples and mentors," said teacher Fern Hedglin.

Professionals from more than 20 different fields were on hand for the event.
