As if there wasn't enough going on at Highland Park this weekend, it was also sight of the first annual "Walk for Wishes" on Saturday.
The walk is a fundraiser for the Make A Wish Foundation, which grants wishes for children with life-threatening medical conditions.
"I raised it because my cousin Jonathan in the past, they helped him because they granted his wish and I just wanted to return the favor," said Elizabeth Wilson who raised $600 towards the effort.
Eighteen children from the Lauderdale County area have had wishes granted. Organizers say the walk raised over $10,000.
