The Mississippi Department of Health has announced a certificate of need for Neshoba General Hospital in Philadelphia.
The facility requested the approval to add nine beds to the adult chemical dependency program because they have noticed an increase in alcohol and substance abuse among Neshoba residents.
The Health Department says the additions will residents from having to drive to alternate hospitals.
