Carjacking Investigated

An investigation is underway into a carjacking at Bonita Lakes Mall in Meridian. The incident happened around 12:30 p.m. Monday in the parking lot outside Dillard's.

Investigators say two teenage girls and a toddler escaped the vehicle unharmed.

"One of the subjects tapped on the window. A 14-year-old juvenile rolled the window down and they asked if they knew where a street was and she said we're not from here," said Detective Chad Johnson. "The suspects then produced a small, silver handgun and ordered both the female juveniles out of the vehicle."

The suspects are described as two black males in their late teens or early twenties. Both are between 5'9" and 6 feet in height with a medium build.

The vehicle was a 2002 black Chevy Tahoe with Neshoba County plates.

Anyone with any information on this case is asked to call Crimestoppers at (601) 485-1860.
