The event isn't known as Halloween but mall-o-ween.
Bonita Lakes Mall hosted its very own trick or treat session to provide children and their families a safe Halloween. The trick-or-treating began at participating retail stores at six p.m. Many parents agreed that mall-o-ween seemed like a safer choice for their kids to go on a candy hunt.
"Because it's a safer environment. I don't have to worry about anybody snatching candy or anything like that and trying to run. It's been great, it's been great, they're running out of candy, but it's still a good place to come," said Labrittany Jordan.
Children twelve years old and younger were welcome to take part in the festivities.
