The 34th horse in the "Around Town Carousels Abound" project was unveiled Thursday at downtown properties, 2328 Front Street in Meridian.
Artist Scott Gavin named it ''Front Street Phoenix'' to symbolize the re-birth of downtown meridian.
Gavin said the horse sat idle in his studio for several months, before he decided on the design, a traditional horse with a fancy saddle.
Three more carousel horses are yet to be unveiled. The next will be placed at Anderson Cancer Clinic in Meridian July 30 at 3:30 p.m. One will also be placed at the Neshoba County Fair.
