James Perry, Jr., a patrolman for about a year at the Laurel Police Department, was flying for a couple on their anniversary when his single-engine plane struck a radio tower in southern Jones County near Moselle.
All three on board were killed. The other victims were identified as John William Hall and his wife, Tina, both of Jones County.
Authorities say Perry was a flight instructor.
Authorities say the plane was circling near the homes of the couple and their parents when its right wing clipped a radio tower cable, the wing then hit the tower and spiraled into the ground.
