Residents of the DeVille Apartments in DeKalb have watched authorities make several drug related arrests in the last couple of days.

"We are going to go after these dealers no matter where they are and bring them to justice," said Sheriff James Moore.

In the past year, several agencies including the sheriff's department, Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics, and the DeKalb Police Department, have been watching these suspects and waiting for the perfect opportunity to bring them in to custody.

"You need to investigate these guys and see who their associates are and get good cases so that when they go to court they will be found guilty," said Moore.

Most of the men are charged with the sale of crack cocaine and marijuana. Even though the job isn't done, Sheriff Moore says he can tell a difference in the community.

"The citizens deserve to live as much as they can free of drug traffickers and we are committed to help them with this process."

Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics Monday said six people were arrested Friday and Saturday, and it expects to make more arrests.

MBN director Marshall Fisher reported those arrested as Terrance Bourrage, age 35, of DeKalb, for sale of crack cocaine; Eric Clark, age and address unavailable, for sale of crack cocaine; Jonathan R. Currie, 25, of DeKalb, for sale of crack cocaine and sale of marijuana; Marshall T. Grace, 32, of DeKalb, for two counts of sale of crack cocaine; Patrick McCallebb, age and address unavailable, for sale of cocaine; and Phillip W. Rush, 51, of DeKalb, for possession of crack cocaine.

MBN said officers seized approximately a gram of cocaine with an estimated street value of $100 and a set of scales while serving the arrest warrants.

The suspects were transported the Kemper County Detention Center. Bonds were set at $25,000 for those charged with sale of crack cocaine, at $15,000 for those charged with sale of marijuana and at $10,000 for those charged with possession of cocaine or marijuana.
