The Mississippi Department of Transportation will detour traffic at the intersection of Highway 19 and Highway 492 in Neshoba County, starting Monday.

MDOT will be doing construction in the area, designed to improve travel. The detour to Highway 492 from Highway 19 will be one-half mile north of the intersection of Highway 492 and Highway 19 on County Road 298. All signage will be installed to direct traffic along the route of detour.

MDOT anticipates the detour will be in place on Highway 492 for approximately four weeks. Motorists are urged to take an alternate route around the area.
