Former presidential candidate, Mike Huckabee, was in Meridian Sunday night to promote his book, A Simple Christmas. Hundreds of people stood in a long line that stretched out the door of Books-A-Million and in front of several stores in the Meridian Crossroads Shopping Center.
While Huckabee was in town to promote his book, many in attendance wanted to hear about the former Arkansas governor's political plans. He addressed the issue with Newscenter 11.
"I tell them nothing has been closed out yet. We need to focus on what is ahead of us and that is 2010 and not 2012. If I could get this response all over the country, like I got in Meridian, it is pretty powerful," said Huckabee.
Huckabee signed books for about an hour and was sure to shake as many hands as possible as he loaded back on his bus.

Dear HAHA.., Your obvious arrogance is disappointing. I don't think you and I supporting our political choices should result in the downgrading of each others intelligence. Mr. Obama is our current President and deserves to be respected as such, and when presidential elections are held again I, as previously stated, will vote for Mr. Huckabee if he is a candidate. I'm sure I will not 'see you at the polls' since I'll be in Quitman and you'll be somewhere you think is superior. Where ever you or I vote I'm thankfull for the freedom to do so. (There's your positive!). Merry Christmas!!
Government sucks. Democrats, Republicans and Independents alike.
YES anon, MAJOR improvement from CLUELESS!!! HUCK 2012. Lot of potential there. Maybe a Huck/lipstick ticket. You think? The Rogue & Do the Right Thing!!!
