County engineer Neal Carson informed supervisors that the bond money set aside for the project has run out.
"We've run out of money as far as what we can pay out of that bond issue," said Carson. "We did put a ring road in like we said and we came all the way to Old Eighth Street Road, but now that's all the money we can spend until some more money is appropriated for the rest of the parking lot."
"It doesn't make any sense for us to piecemeal this thing. We need to go on and do it and get out of it," said District 2 Supervisor Jimmie Smith.
It will take another $30,000 to do that. Board members indicated they will find it, somehow.
