Authorities are still investigating four fires that struck Lauderdale County within about three hours killing one man and severely injuring another on Friday.

Firefighters responded to a trailer fire about 11 a.m. on Friday and found an unnamed man burned beyond recognition. Authorities described the scene as suspicious at the time of the fire.

At noon, units responded to a fire at the Travel Centers of America truck plaza in Russell where three construction workers were injured. Authorities on the scene said the fire resulted from an over heated chemical being used on the construction of an addition to the building. The construction company has yet to comment on the incident.

Units also responded to a recreational vehicle fire and a car fire all between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m.
