A very special Memorial Day for troops in Alabama who came home from a year stay in Iraq.
Members of the 214th Military Police Company out of Alexander City returned home on Saturday after spending a year in Iraq to a huge crowd welcoming them.
"Overwhelmed, I mean, I expected it to be big, but there's a lot of people here and it feels good. It really hits here because ah, to know that everybody really supports us," said Brian Harrell with the 214th Military Police Company.
The group had actually been in the U.S. for a little over a week, but spent much of it at Fort Benning, Georgia for processing.
