35-year-old Don Darrell Price from Jackson and 41-year-old Timothy Benjamin Taylor from Dacula, Georgia, are facing at least 484 counts of identity theft and tax fraud charges combined.
The two were taken into custody Friday after arriving at C&T Tax Service in DeKalb to pick up about $70,000 in refund money after filing fake W-2 forms for numerous people.
Investigators say the arrests were part of a coordinated sting operation involving the business owner, DeKalb police, the IRS and the FBI.
DeKalb Police Chief Steven Jackson says bond is expected to be denied for the two. Meanwhile, he says more arrests are possible and that both Price and Taylor will likely face even more charges.
