The Mississippi Police Benevolent Association has endorsed Delbert Hosemann for secretary of state.

“We will ask our members, their friends and families, and all citizens who respect the strong and efficient enforcement of our laws to cast their ballots in the upcoming election in your favor,” wrote president Chris Skinner in a letter to the candidate, dated July 5.

The MSPBA has thirteen chapters with a membership of over 2,000 unformed officers from across Mississippi.

Hosemann will be in the GOP primary on Aug. 7, along with three other Republican candidates, Gene Sills, Mike Lott, and Jeffrey Rupp.

Three Democrats are running: Jabari Toins, John Windsor and Rob Smith.
