The announcement of the architectural firm who will design the Southern Arts and Entertainment Center could come within the next week.
Nineteen firms from all across the country have applied for the job. The top three firms have reportedly met with the center's executive director, Charlotte Tabereaux.
Organizers expect to break ground on the multi-million dollar project by mid 2005. The project has to receive the needed funding for completion. It is slated to be built on 175 acres near Bonita Lakes Park.
