Plant Fire

Shortly after 2:00 a.m. Tuesday morning, firefighters were dispatched to the Lay-Z-Boy plant on Highway 15 in Newton.
Investigators say the small fire was contained in the dust collection system at the plant.
Workers at the facility were temporarily evacuated. Company officials tell us the fire halted production for about four hours.
They say the facility received only minor damage, and no one was injured.
