Stormy weather moved through Mississippi and Alabama Tuesday, with several severe thunderstorm warnings popping up across the area.

Wednesday is expected to bring a more significant threat of severe weather. It means most of east Mississippi is under threat for some kind of severe weather.

Emergency officials in Lauderdale County say they are watching the weather, and getting ready for what could come.

March is traditionally the busiest month of the year for tornadoes in Mississippi.
