Gov. Bob Riley said he'll meet with aerospace officials in England during next week's massive international air show.

Then it's on to Germany to clarify possible plant expansion in Alabama and the creation of more new jobs.

"Alabama has had a remarkable success primarily because of one thing. We have proven to manufacturers all over the world, that if you want a quality product, you need to come to Alabama. If you want to produce it cost effectively and efficiently, you need to come to Alabama," said Riley.

A $1 billion Hyundai plant is set to open soon in suburban Montgomery.

Meanwhile, the unemployment rate for Alabama in June was the lowest of the year.

It fell to 5.3 percent. That's down from 5.9 percent in May. The figures reflect an improved state economy for Alabama.
