The 2,000 pounds of pot was packed between layers of broccoli and was sniffed out by a K-9 unit.
The East Mississippi Drug Task Force was called in to handle the case.
However, Maj. Steve Spears, commander of the unit, said prosecution will be handled by federal authorities.
"We're not sure of the exact location. That is, the case is still being investigated by us and Customs to determine the exact location of where the marijuana was going," said Spears.
The driver, Juan Salinas, 39, of Mission, Texas, was arrested. He and the contraband were to be turned over to the U.S. Customs Service.
