FBI Investigates "Leak"

U.S. Attorney Dunn Lampton said investigators found the indictment during a raid on the 5,100 square foot Jefferson Davis County home of purported ring leader David Warner. He has evaded authorities for over a month.

Lampton has called it “disturbing” that Warner was able to obtain an indictment pertaining to people in his illegal organization.

The group of about 20 people is accused of distributing large quantities of cocaine and marijuana in Mobile, Memphis, Jackson and Hattiesburg.

FBI spokeswoman Deborah Madden confirmed the agency is investigating the matter but cited FBI policy and declined to comment.

Lampton has said the indictment was leaked by someone in the federal clerk's office in Hattiesburg, the U.S. Marshal's office, or the U.S. Attorney's office.
