As of Oct. 1, the Clarke County Sheriff's Department will no longer be a part of the East Mississippi Drug Task Force.
Clarke County Sheriff Todd Kemp said it's a decision forced upon him by the economic situation of the county.
It costs Clarke County $20,000 a year to participate and Sheriff Kemp says money is tight right now.
Kemp said he hopes to rejoin the task force at a later date.
