A six-year-old boy was reunited with mother Friday after being missing for four years.
Dana Johnson traveled to Mobile, Alabama from her home in Sanford, North Carolina to be reunited with her son Nicholas. Nicholas had been taken by his father when he was two.
"I would like to express my gratitude to everyone. For four years I didn't know where my son was, I didn't even know he was alive. It let me know the system works. I hope out of all this the government can get stronger laws to enforce different stuff so that things like this can't happen anymore," said Johnson.
Authorities say since the father was married to Johnson at the time of the abduction, no criminal charges can be filed.
