Instructors from Meridian Community College and Mississippi State, Meridian Campus, got together this week for the benefit of students.
Officials say both colleges have a unique relationship, since MCC graduates may continue their four year degrees literally, across the street.
"Teachers have the responsibility to help shape the image and the perception that students have of our community, and I think that the influences of teachers extends well beyond the classroom," said Barbara Jones of MCC. "I would like to see all of us help generate some enthusiasm and some real expectations for our community to grow and to become the kind of place that others will want to come to."
Jones said teachers from MSU will visit classes at MCC to share information about what more advanced degrees are available in Meridian.
