MPD Makes Felony Arrests

The bond for an armed robbery suspect was set at $50,000. Kyle Aaron Steifel has been charged with the Sept. 1 armed robbery of the Shell Station on Highway 19 North.

The incident was caught on tape by a store surveillance camera.

"A Crimestoppers tip led to another tip," said Meridian Police detective, Dean Harper. "Using that information and good investigative techniques, the investigators were able to determine he was the culprit."

In an unrelated case, Meridian police have charged Jeffrey Clark, 23, with burglary and arson, for a July 29 incident.

Harper said Clark broke into a residence and set fire to it as he left., Clark's bond was set at $40,000.
