The Willis Family of Ormond Beach, Fla., was traveling along Highway 45 alternate in Noxubee County between Columbus and Brooksville when they stopped for a rest.

It was during this time that "Lucky," their beloved family pet, got out of the vehicle and was accidentally left behind.

The Willises returned to the area where Lucky was lost, but could not find him.

Their son, Max, who suffers from an inoperable brain tumor, would desperately like to see Lucky returned.

The dog is described as a mid-sized, copper-colored mutt, resembling a Lab. He has a brown leather collar with a name tag on it. Lucky also responds to the nickname "Puppers."

If you have any information for the Willis family, or have found Lucky, you are asked to call Carole Willis at 850-324-8266.
