On Sunday hundreds of people waving, holding and draped in American flags lined the streets of downtown Philadelphia. All were there showing overwhelming support for a fallen soldier, Lt. Matt Stovall. Stovall was killed in the line of duty just over a week ago in Iraq.
"Our whole county has lost a soldier. We all love Matt Stovall and we're going to miss him," said onlooker Michelle Sessums. "We're just doing it out of respect for him and his family.
Cadets from Neshoba Central High School saluted as the funeral procession made its way the downtown area. Earlier this year another Neshoba County soldier was killed in the line of duty.
Joshua Ladd was killed earlier this year in Iraq. Meanwhile, Lt. Stovall was laid to rest at the Coldwater Baptist Church Cemetery.
