The Pediatric Center at Anderson Hospital was dedicated Tuesday to Dr. William G. Riley. The wing can serve the needs of nine children with almost any type of disease they may have.
Dr. Riley was one of the first pediatricians in the state of Mississippi.
Bob Anderson, chairman of Anderson's board of directors, says before Riley passed away a couple of years ago, he was excited about the vision of the pediatric center.
"Today we are seeing that vision come to pass," said Anderson. "And it's truly an exciting day in the life of Anderson Hospital when we can see children being made well and going home and enjoying the life that they have."
Artwork was provided for the pediatric center by art students from across Lauderdale County.
