The Mississippi Alliance for Arts Education presented two awards Tuesday at the MSU Riley Center. The Community Arts Agency Award of the Year went to the Riley Center.

The Superintendent of the Year Award for Mississippi went to Lauderdale County's Randy Hodges.

"It's really exciting to be given an award, which you have to have been doing something for five years," said the Riley center's Dr. Charlotte Tabereaux.

"I accepted on behalf of our principals, our teachers, our hard-working students and our supportive parents," said Hodges.

The alliance also gives two other statewide awards every year.
