Authorities have identified the man killed in the tornado that hit east Mississippi as 28-year-old Carlos Madrigal of Blue Mountain.
Kemper County Coroner Terry Bostick says authorities are awaiting the results of an autopsy before releasing a cause of death.
Bostick says Madrigal was at Contract Fabricators Inc. north of DeKalb when the tornado hit Thursday.
The business was hit hard. A tall metal building was left in ruins and a tractor trailer was twisted and overturned. Debris was strewn through nearby woods.
The tornado injured several people in Kemper and Noxubee counties.
Authorities say storm damage assessments are continuing Friday.
The Mississippi Emergency Management Agency says Thursday's storms caused damages in at least seven counties in the state.
