Aviator for a Day

Meridian Naval Air Station, Miss. It was a dream come true aboard NAS Meridian for a Mississippi girl.

Training Air Wing 1 its very first Aviator for a Day" Friday.
It's partnering with the Blair E. Batson Children's Hospital in Jackson to make days like this possible.

The first participant, 13-year-old Hannah Dunaway, from Vicksburg, was able to tour the hangar, simulator, control tower, and fire department.

"I really like planes, said Dunaway. "But I mean, I just never really thought I would get to come here out of all places. And it has just been amazing."

At the end of the day, Hannah received her 'Wings of Gold' during a ceremony.
