Citizens National Bank presented a check to the American Cancer Society Tuesday after completing a successful fundraising campaign.
Citizens National Bank presented a check for $1,823.06 to the local chapter. The money was raised during the bank's Think Pink Checking Campaign that ran from September through November.
The bank allowed people to make a donation to breast cancer research, instead of the normal minimum opening deposit.
"We have always supported our American Cancer Society through Relay," said CNB's Diane Burnham. "And this is our second year that we have offered our think pink checking campaign, and we want to raise awareness about breast cancer."
Citizens National Bank locations in 27 cities in Mississippi, including Meridian, Philadelphia, Quitman, and Waynesboro, took part in the campaign.
