Former Choctaw Area Council Boy Scouts executive, John Beauregard, 48, died in a vehicle crash Saturday in Texas.
According to the South Texas Council, Beauregard was involved in a fatal collision near Driscoll, Tex., while driving home from Karankawa Lodge’s December Fellowship Saturday.
KRIS-TV reported that Gina Reynolds was driving westbound on 665, when she veered into oncoming traffic and crashed Beauregard's Tahoe.
Both drivers were wearing seatbelts, but died at the scene of the accident.
Beauregard accepted the position of executive director in south Texas in 2008, but was involved in scouting all of his life.
The funeral is set for Thursday, Dec. 6, at 10 a.m. at Pius X Catholic Church in Corpus Christi. The church is located at 5620 Gollihar Road, Corpus Christi, Tex. 78412.
